Diversity Construction Group was contracted for the replacement of two pipe hydronic mains above first floor ceiling as well as associated risers to and from the basement mechanical room utilizing Type L copper tubing, add shut off valves to allow further isolation of piping mains per building wing. Fire stopping, Remove and replace suspended ceiling. Remove and upgrade all lighting fixtures.
Work started Summer 2017 and was completed Summer 2017.

Community College Tutoring and Academic Success Center

Diversity Construction Group was contracted to perform alterations and the expansion of the existing First Floor Tutoring Center Tutoring adjacent to Library. Work included demolition of existing and the construction of new partitions, suspended ceilings and interior finishes, application of spray fireproofing and Second Floor structural steel framing between Tutoring Center and portion of Second Floor Library directly above, and incidental work at the adjacent Library and Second Floor.

Work began in April 2017 and was completed October 2017.

Aquatic Facility Renovation Beachland Park

Diversity Construction Group was contracted to convert an existing space to create their new Biotechnical Laboratory.  The space includes two Labs and one Prep Room equipped with state of the art lab tables, fume hood, emergency showers, and a -80 freezer.

Work began in October 2016 and was completed in March 2017.

CCSU Devils Den Renovation in Student Center

Diversity Construction Group was contracted to install FOG separators at four different Technical High Schools.  The kitchens required significant underground demolition to create new grease lines separate from the existing sanitary lines

Simsbury Farms Ice Rink Shelter

Diversity Construction Group was contracted to construct a spectator viewing area for their ice rink at Simsbury Farms.  The heated structure was constructed from cold formed metal framing and has tiered platforms for viewing.  The cedar shake siding on the outside matches the décor of the surrounding facility.

Work began in June 2016 and was completed in November 2016.

Quinebaug Valley Community College – Site Improvements

Vinal Technical High School

Diversity Construction Group was contracted to perform ADA Renovations to all the toilet rooms in the school.  All rooms were demolished with new underground plumbing and all new finishes.  In addition, the project also called for the installation of a new 3500 gallon fats, oils and grease separator.

Work began in April 2015 and was completed in September 2015.

Mohican Apartments

Diversity Construction Group has won coveted contract to perform ADA Renovations to Whiton Memorial Branch Library. Upgrades will include the addition of a new elevator, installing a handicap ramp in the basement and renovating bathrooms.

DCG is excited to be partnering with the Town of Manchester on this project. Work completed in Summer 2014.

Solid Waste Division Office Building

Diversity Construction Group is once again working with the City of Stamford. This time DCG has been selected to provide code compliance upgrades and building improvements to the solid Waste Division Office Building.

Renovations will include building new locker and shower rooms, building a new kitchenette and performing masonry repointing.

Renovations are scheduled to begin Summer 2014.

Town of Canterbury

Diversity Construction Group, (DCG) has been selected to perform renovations to the Soccer and Baseball Fields at Robert Manship Park in Canterbury Connecticut.

Renovations to the baseball field will include earthwork, fencing (metal and wood), field equipment, dugouts, backstop and stone dust track.

Renovations to the soccer field will include earthwork, re-grading and repairing concrete drywalls, as well as wood fencing.

Repairs are scheduled to begin early spring and end early summer.

Hilton C. Buley Library, Southern Connecticut State University

Hilton C. Buley Library undergoes complete renovations. As a subcontractor, Diversity Construction Group will perform site concrete.

Renovation is scheduled to begin in March 2014 and end in August 2014.

Boyle Stadium

Diversity Construction was awarded coveted contract to renovate the 76 year-old historic Boyle Stadium. Plans for the stadium were first developed in 1933 during the depression and construction was completed in 1937.

Diversity Construction Group performed superior masonry restoration to the polygonal-cut, rock-faced granite walls, built new bathrooms, demolished old press-box, and re-built a new press-box on the west side of the stadium. DCG also added handicap ramps, performed miscellaneous site work and replaced doors and hardware. The project began in April 2013 and was completed in December 2013.

Caulkins Park

Contract to perform extensive renovations to Caulkins Park was awarded to Diversity Construction. Work is underway to build three soccer fields that will accommodate youth programs, and a softball field to be used for high school level games and practices. Renovations will also include constructing a 5-foot wide, half-mile long track, that encircles the park and installing an underground irrigation system.

A portion of wetlands in the northwest corner of the park, near Riverview Avenue and Alger Street, will be reclaimed and transformed into two Bioswale Rain Gardens filled with native, noninvasive plants. Edges of the park, which are steeply sloped, will be landscaped with wildflowers.

Renovation began in May 2013 and is scheduled to be completed in May 2014.

Elmwood Community Center West Hartford, Connecticut

DCG was chosen to perform renovations to this multipurpose facility. Bathroom upgrade included plumbing, tile work and toilet partitions. DCG also upgraded the locker rooms as well, updating the shower, plumbing and installing ceramic tile.

The company installed acoustic ceiling, performed door hardware upgrades, and installed “Area of Refuge System” in the stairwell.

The renovations began on December 1, 2013 and were completed on January 1, 2014.

Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) Discovery Academy

In order to facilitate the growth of the Discovery Academy, CREC selected DCG to perform the renovation of this 5,000 square feet office space. During this project four classrooms and a cafeteria/gymnasium were created. Construction began in May 2013 and was completed in August 2013.

Hinsdale Elementary School

As part of the 2011 to 2013 School Improvement Plan, Hinsdale Elementary School performed code renovation updates for over a 10,000 square feet area of its facility. As part of this project, Diversity Construction replaced fire doors and hardware within the corridors of the school. Construction began in February 2013 and was completed in October 2013.

Bethel Public Library

Built in 1909, the Bethel Public Library occupies approximately 13,000 square feet and serves the town of 17,000 residents. Diversity Construction Group provided Class 5 Finish to the interior of the library. A total of 9 colors were used to paint access walls, complimenting the beauty and architecture of this century old building.

Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) International Magnet School for Global Citizenship

This 65,000-square-foot, $31.5M state-of-the-art facility is scheduled to be completed in January 2014. As a sub-contractor, Diversity Construction installed 160 interior doors and hardware to compliment the décor of the building.

The stunning, 63,000 square foot building has been under construction since the summer of 2012 and is scheduled to be completed in January 2014. As a sub-contractor, Diversity construction installed over 200 visual display boards and bathroom partitions and accessories for this project.

Elms Common

Tucked in a quiet residential area on Elms Common Drive, Elms Common is comprised of 156 large studio, one and two bedroom apartments in three four-story buildings with elevators for convenience and comfort. The complex boasts fitness facilities and outdoor pools.

Diversity construction was selected to remove carports in preparation for the installation of new carports for this apartment complex. DCG also upgraded the electrical service to the carports as well.

CREC Office Fitout

Diversity Construction Group was chosen as the General Contractor to renovate the basement of the Construction Division Building. Diversity Construction performed electrical and HVAC upgrades, converted unused area into office space and constructed 2 conference rooms, one serving as multi-media for training and presentations.. Construction began in July 2012 and was completed in September 2012.

Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) International Magnet School

A complete renovation of the main office was performed. Work included selective demolition, installation of new interior partition walls, doors and hardware, flooring, paint, acoustical ceilings, electrical, fire protection and HVAC.

The renovations began in July 2012and were completed in August 2012.

Extension of Air Line State Park Trail

The Airline Trail in East Hampton is a section of the 50-mile Air Line State Park Trail that begins in East Hampton and ends in Putnam. Air Line State Park Trail environment is diverse with forest, streams and wetlands and is popular for experience the changing leaves in the Fall. It has over one dozen bridges and stone culverts and two large viaducts called the Lyman and The Colchester which are listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

In 2012 The Town of East Hampton received a grant to pursue the extension of the Air Line State Park Trail and selected Diversity Construction Group as the general contractor. The trail project, designed by Anchor Engineering, begins at Main Street and extends over the Pocotopaug Creek, across Watrous Street and eventually connects with the exiting trail.

The project incorporates more than 1,500 square feet of modular block retaining wall to support the switch backs as well as the bridge on the Pocolopay River. The project began in February 2012 and was completed in August 2012.

Pine Street Trading's Distribution Facility Loading Dock

Pine Street Trading Company is New England’s leader in the marketing and distribution of convenience and beverage products. To meet their expanding distribution operation, substantial modifications to the loading dock was performed. This included expanding the loading area by adding an additional bay, enclosing the existing dock with masonry and installing new overhead doors, dock levelers and seals at five locations. The project began in November 2011and was completed in March 2012.
